- Speaker offers condolences on a deadly rail accident and prays for swift disaster relief and a return to normalcy
National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo of the Republic of Korea on June 4 offered his heartfelt condolences over a deadly rail accident in India (on June 2), sending prayers for everyone involved and all of the Indian people. He conveyed his message in a letter to Lok Sabha, the Speaker of India’s lower chamber of Parliament.
In his letter of condolence, he expressed hopes that the Indian parliament, government and people come together to deal with the accident, and that all the people who suffered and the entire population recover soon from the shock and are able to resume their daily routines.
