Speaker Woo Won-shik meets with Chinese Ambassador to Korea
National Assembly Speaker of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik on July 8 met with Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Xing Haiming, who visited the National Assembly for a farewell courtesy call.
Speaker Woo commended Ambassador Xing for his hard work in the position and asked for his continued contributions to the development of ROK-China bilateral relations. Ambassador Xing, who served in the Republic of Korea for four years and six months, is expected to return to China on July 10.
Attendees at the meeting included Fang Kun, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, from the Chinese side. Those from the Korean side included Park Jeung, National Assembly member from the Democratic Party of Korea; Jo O-seop, Chief of Staff to the Speaker; Park Tae-seo, Senior Secretary for Public Relations to the Speaker; Jeong Woon-jin, Ambassadorial Advisor to the Speaker for Foreign Affairs; and Hwang Seung-gi, Director General of the International Affairs and Protocol Bureau.
