I spoke at a conference last weekend on the wellness movement. It started me thinking about how incredibly widespread this movement has become and wondering what such a change in society means to us on a personal level.
Wellness -- the union of physical, emotional and spiritual health -- had its roots in the fitness boom of the 1970s. Spurred by the benefits of exercise, people gradually became motivated to explore other aspects of health and well-being.
